HAMMONTON – Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage as the Eagle Theatre’s Theatre for Young Performers Summer Camp presents “Seussical Jr.” This performance has been adapted for a young cast and audience, and is suitable for all ages.
The Eagle Theatre’s 2015 Theatre for Young Performers Summer Camp is designed to create a fun and informative environment for young adults as they take part in the performing arts through the guidance of industry professionals. It is the objective of this intensive to strengthen creativity, build confidence, improve focus, perfect motor skills, hone communicative articulation, and explore cultural awareness. The students are enrolled in classes including, but not limited to acting, vocal, dance, stage combat, costume design, lighting design, set design, prop design and stage management.
July 2015 will mark The Eagle Theatre, Inc.’s fifth annual Theatre for Young Performers Summer Camp. Approximately 40 young adults, more than 17 towns (12 Hammonton, 3 Manahawkin, 3 Williamstown, 2 Atco, 2 Folsom, 2 Tabernacle, 2 Sicklerville, 1 Absecon, 1 Berlin, 1 Blackwood, 1 Galloway, 1 Mays Landing, 1 Medford, 1 Newfield, 1 Shamong, 1 Waterford, 1 Winslow Township) are enrolled in The Eagle Theatre’s 2015 Theatre for Young Performers Summer Camp.
“Seussical Jr.” runs from July 23 to July 25, with performances July 23 and July 24 at 7 p.m. and July 25 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at 208 Vine St. Tickets are $14 for children 12 and younger and $16 for adults.
