MAYS LANDING - Atlantic City Electric in collaboration with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch, recently held a volunteer event at the FoodBank’s Egg Harbor Township location to benefit those in need. About 40 Atlantic City Electric employees, their family members and friends packed boxes with donated food for residents in need this holiday season.

To support this volunteer event, Atlantic City Electric held food drives across various company locations resulting in more than 900 pounds of food collected to help stock the cupboards of the FoodBank. Also as part of this initiative, Atlantic City Electric employees at the Pleasantville Operations Center collected more than $1,500 to help further support the FoodBank.

“Atlantic City Electric has a longstanding commitment to the FoodBank,” said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric region president. “We believe it’s important to support local organizations, like the FoodBank, that make a difference in the lives of others. We have an obligation to help meet the needs of residents and our customers by assisting organizations that benefit those in need.”

Atlantic City Electric is committed to supporting local communities through volunteer initiatives, charitable contributions and community outreach efforts.
