April 19

Hammonton 3, St. Joseph 1 – The Wildcats’ bats were quiet as Hammonton held St. Joseph to just one hit.

The Wildcats had a 1-0 lead after the top of the third inning, but the Blue Devils scored all three runs in the bottom half of the frame.

April 20

St. Joseph 16, ACIT 3 – Michael Panicelle smacked a home run as the Wildcats cruised to the win. Hakim Salaam added two doubles and Diego Martinez picked up the victory on the mound.

April 21

St. Joseph 6, Lower Cape May 3 (8 inn.) – Jacob Brennen recorded the win for the Wildcats, who scored three runs in the eighth to prevail.

Coming up – The Wildcats host Bridgeton on April 27 and are at Cedar Creek on April 28. St. Joseph is then at Cape May Tech on May 2.

Softball

April 18

St. Joseph 30, Pleasantville 0 – Taylor Sirolli, Cara Owsley and Sara Raubertas all had five RBIs in the victory. Sirolli also homered for the Wildcats.

Jessica Posten doubled and had four RBIs and Kyra Berrios had a double and three RBIs. Winning pitcher Gabriella Fanelli struck out seven in a four-inning no-hitter.

April 19

St. Joseph 12, Lower Cape May 0 – Sirolli tripled, knocked in three runs and also picked up the win, striking out seven in three innings. Raubertas had two hits and an RBI.

April 20

ACIT 5, St. Joseph 0 – The Wildcats were held to just six hits in their second loss of the year.

April 22

St. Joseph 11, OLMA 0 – Lauren Rutt and Nicole Fox each had two hits and three RBIs for the victors. Fox also stole three bases.

Berrios, Raubertas and Sirolli all had two hits for St. Joseph. Sirolli struck out six and allowed one hit in three innings to earn the win.

April 23

Blue Devil Invitational

Cumberland 12, St. Joseph 3 – The Colts held the Wildcats to just two hits in the loss.

Coming up – The Wildcats are at Bridgeton on April 27 before hosting Cedar Creek on April 28. The Wildcats are home against Cape May Tech on May 2 and Pleasantville on May 3.

Golf

April 18

St. Joseph 193, Buena 194 – Brad Lomax shot a 42, including a birdie, as the Wildcats edged the Chiefs. Dillon Kramer also had a birdie and recorded a 46.

April 19

St. Joseph 193, Cedar Creek 207 – Lomax shot a 42 to lead the Wildcats. Kramer and Joe Higbee each posted a 48.

April 22

St. Joseph 180, Hammonton 199 – Lomax and Kramer both carded a 42 in the loss.

Coming up – The Wildcats are home against Middle on April 27 and Cape May Tech on April 28. St. Joseph plays at Buena on May 3.

Boys’ track

April 18

Cedar Creek 126, St. Joseph 12; St. Joseph 54, Wildwood Catholic 45 – St. Joseph’s Dontae Loveland won the high jump in the tri-meet with the Pirates and Crusaders. Loveland cleared six feet as the Wildcats split the meet.

April 20

St. Joseph 78 Lower Cape May 61 – Loveland won both the high jump (5-6) and long jump (18-5) for the Wildcats in the win.

Coming up – The Wildcats are at Bridgeton on May 2.
