HAMMONTON - One of the joys of the fall season is the fall foliage and trees. Thanks to a generous private donor and the support of local businesses and volunteers, Downtown Hammonton is just a little bit brighter for the fall harvest season. Corn stalks with ribbons, donated bales of hay and costumed scarecrows, adorn the downtown to celebrate the fall season.
“I appreciate the discount provided by Ron’s Gardens for the corn stalks and the over 50 orange bows made and donated by Our Expressions Florist,” said Cassie Iacovelli, executive director of MainStreet Hammonton. “Special thanks also to the downtown business owners who decorated their scarecrows and to the town staff for putting up the fall banners.”
Volunteer support is essential for the revitalization of the downtown. MainStreet Hammonton volunteers installed the corn stalks and ribbons which was an all-day effort. “Seasonal decorations are one of the initiatives that help MainStreet Hammonton achieve its goal to create a visually-appealing downtown aimed to support a thriving business and art district. I am so fortunate to have a team of caring people who help me to achieve this. This collective effort helps to make our downtown beautiful.”
