HAMMONTON - On Monday, the Hammonton High School Select Choir performed a concert for the seniors at the Hammonton Senior Nutrition Center located at 310 Bellevue Ave.

The student performers sang lovely renditions of both classic and contemporary pieces led by band Director Tim White (subbing for choral Director Marissa Carrafiello) and two student directors, Zach Taglioli and Sam Mossop. Seniors were amazed and thoroughly entertained by the young singers.

“They sounded like professional singers,” said Dottie Elvins of Hammonton. “It reminded me so much of my days in the choir when I was young,” said John Myers of Hammonton.

“I’m so proud of the talent and humbled by the willingness to provide so many services and entertainment by our community members,” said site coordinator Olivia Bellano of Hammonton. “It seems like all we have to do is ask and our townspeople always come through with charitable donations, volunteerism and much more. We are truly thankful.”

The Senior Nutrition Center offers free lunches Monday through Friday for adults 65 and older. For more information on the Senior Lunch program, please contact Olivia Bellano at (609) 567-3200 and select option 2.
