Join us for the Hammonton Independence Day Parade
As parents of young children, my friend Alicia Fields Murphy and myself appreciate having local traditions that we know we can attend with our families on a holiday.
Here in Hammonton, we especially enjoy having our very own holiday with the 16th of July festivities. Of course, we also have the longstanding Kiwanis parade at Halloween, the Fireman’s Christmas Parade and the Memorial Day Parade and the ceremony that follows.
We enjoyed the Hammonton Independence Day Parade in 2016, which was held as part of our year-long Sesquicentennial celebration. When asked to co-chair the event for 2017 in an effort to turn it into a new tradition for Hammonton, we jumped at the chance. We value the importance of raising our children in a community that makes an effort to establish and uphold these family-friendly events, especially those that celebrate our nation’s freedom.
Alicia and I are working to make the parade a success and hope you will join us on July 4th at 11 a.m. in our downtown.
