HAMMONTON – The Hammonton School District has set registration dates for its School-Age Child Care Program for the 2015-2016 school year. Pre-kindergarten through first-grade students who are registered in the Hammonton Early Childhood Education Center and students in second through fifth grades who attend the Warren E. Sooy Jr. Elementary School are eligible to register for the latchkey program.
The School-Age Child Care program is designed to meet the needs of working parents and their children by providing a safe, supervised environment. It is operational before school from 6:30 to 8:35 a.m. and after school from 3:15 to 6 p.m., offering activities that are age appropriate.
Parents may register their children and utilize the hours according to their needs.
Registrations will be accepted from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Aug. 4 and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 5 at Hammonton Early Childhood Education Center, 601 C N. 4th St. A non-refundable entry fee of $60 per family is required.
Make the necessary arrangements to register your child in person (children need not be present) to ensure services on the first day of school, Sept. 9. Make-up registrations can be made after Aug. 5 at the ECEC office. Children who participated in the program last year are required to register again for participation in the 2015-2016 school year program.
The Hammonton Family Center has procured a grant for after-school child care (NJAfter3) that serves WES students in second through fifth grade only. You may call their facility at (609) 567-2900 and register your WES child for after-school care at a minimal fee. If you are unable or do not wish to register your WES child for the NJAfter3 program and need latchkey services, our ongoing after school child care program will be available to your child(ren) in the ECEC cafeteria.
