CAMDEN - A Pittsgrove Township woman struck by a car on Route 47 in Franklin Township as she cycled with her husband remains in critical condition on Thursday afternoon at Cooper University Hospital, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Susan Lyn Kinnan, 57, of Alvine Road, was airlifted to Cooper and her husband, John D. Kinnan, 62, was taken there by ambulance after an accident shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Hospital spokeswoman Wendy Marano said John Kinnan was released. He had been listed in stable condition.
Franklin police identified the driver of the car as 41-year-old Emilio Ortega 3rd.
Ortega was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to Franklin Township Police. A news release from the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said Ortega also was charged with two counts of assault by auto and possession of drugs.
No information was available on whether Ortega still is detained.
