MONROE TWP. - A Williamstown man faces heroin possession and distribution charges after a narcotics task force allegedly found the drug at his home during a search.

Thomas J. Shepardson, 37, faces multiple counts of third-degree distribution, possession and drug paraphernalia charges, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor's Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force investigated Shepardson for three months. It executed a search warrant Wednesday at Shepardson's home, where police allegedly found 35 wax folds of heroin, police said.

Shepardson was arrested  in a car stop, according to police. He was held at Salem County Jail without bail, police reported.
