GLASSBORO - A drunken driver bit and scratched two officers during her arrest, police said.

Brittany Ledden, 24, was charged Monday night with two counts of aggravated assault on police, disorderly conduct, resisting, obstruction and criminal mischief. The Williamstown resident also was cited for drunken, careless, and reckless driving, following too closely and failing to maintain lane.

Police said an officer was processing Ledden on the drunken driving charge and planned to release the woman to a family member but she "refused to cooperate and became unruly, hostile and out of control."
