A Bridgeton man and a Vineland woman were shot to death inside a vehicle on Wheat Road in Buena Borough early Saturday morning, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Buena Borough Police reported they received a 911 call at 1:19 a.m. of shots fired and that someone may have been shot. When police arrived at 408 Wheat Road, the location of the MVP sports bar, they found inside a vehicle Damon Jones, 34, and Talisa Colon, 23, both shot. They were pronounced dead at the scene, the Prosecutor’s Office said.

Autopsies completed on the homicide victims showed that Jones and Colon died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, the Prosecutor’s Office said. 

The investigation is ongoing and is a cooperative effort between the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, the Buena Borough Police Department, Vineland Police Department, Millville Police Department, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, United States Marshals Service and New Jersey State Police Major Crimes.
