Boys’ soccer

Sept. 15

ACIT 10, St. Joseph 2 — St. Joseph’s Sean Heefner scored and set up a goal in the loss. Nunzio Savarese also found the back of the net for the Wildcats, who scored for the first time in three games to start the season. Keeper Josh Kahler made 21 saves.

Sept. 17

Clayton 3, St. Joseph 1 — St. Joseph’s Darrien Wittlock scored in the first half to give his team a 1-0 lead. However, Clayton scored three goals in the second half to earn the win.

Sept. 18

Wildwood 4, St. Joseph 1 — Heefner scored the Wildcats’ lone goal of the game.

Coming up — St. Joseph hosts Cedar Creek on Sept. 2 before hitting the road to take on Woodbury on Sept. 25 and Pleasantville on Sept. 28.

Girls’ soccer

Sept. 15

ACIT 7, St. Joseph 0 — The Wildcats managed just three shots on goal in the loss.

Sept. 16

St. Joseph 3, Salem 1 — St. Joseph’s Nicole Cirigliano recorded a hat trick while keeper Caitlin Jacoby made nine saves in the win.

Coming up — The Wildcats travel to Cedar Creek on Sept. 24.

Field hockey

Sept. 14

St. Joseph 6, Audubon 2 — Gianna Morganti started the season with a four-goal performance for St. Joseph.

Julia Jones scored once and set up two goals, and Gab Scocca added a score for the Wildcats. Teammate Carlina Sacco registered three assists. Goalie Alexis Orcutt made four saves in the win.

Sept. 16

St. Joseph 7, Lower Cape May 0 — Sacco scored four times and recorded an assist for St. Joseph.

Morganti scored twice and registered an assist and Kassidy Wentzell added a goal. Orcutt made seven stops to earn the shutout.

Sept. 18

St. Joseph 9, Cedar Creek 1 — Morganti continued her red-hot start to the season with her second four-goal game.

Scocca had two goals and two assists, Sacco tallied two goals and Jones also scored for St. Joseph.

Coming up — The Wildcats are home against Middle Township on Sept. 25 and Buena on Sept. 28.

Girls’ volleyball

Sept. 14

Gloucester Catholic 2, St. Joseph 1 — The Wildcats won the opening game 25-22, but dropped the final two to lose the match.

Samantha McGlynn registered 19 assists and five digs for the Wildcats. Teammate Mackenzie Fabrico had 10 kills and six digs and Taylor Westfall added four aces and five kills.

Sept. 15

OLMA 2, St. Joseph 0 — St. Joseph’s Allison Wichrowski recorded seven assists and four digs and McGlynn added six digs and four assists. Westfall and Fabrico both had five kills in the loss.

Sept. 17

Oakcrest 2, St. Joseph 1 — After dropping the first game 19-25, St. Joseph forced a third game with a 27-25 win in Game 2. Oakcrest clinched the win with a 25-17 result in Game 3.

Sara Wible registered 14 assists and four aces for St. Joseph. Fabrico had 8 kills, 6 digs and 5 assists and McGlynn added eight digs.

Coming up — St. Joseph will be at Kingsway on Sept. 24 and Cherokee on Sept. 26 before hosting Absegami on Sept. 28.
