Girls’ soccer

Sept. 21

Hammonton 2, Cumberland 0 — Marissa Deltufo and Gabby Tancredi each scored a goal for the victors, while Madison Chiola and Elizabeth Thackston both registered an assist. Goalie McKenna Forry made three saves for the shutout.

Sept. 23

Hammonton 2, Triton 0 — Lacey Weissman scored twice and Forry made eight saves for the shutout win.

Sept. 25

Hammonton 2, GCIT 0 — Forry continued her stellar play, making 11 saves to keep the clean sheet.

Tancredi and Kylie Mocarski each scored a goal for the Blue Devils.

Coming up — Hammonton is at Kingsway on Oct. 2 and at Wildwood on Oct. 5. The Blue Devils then host Williamstown on Oct. 6.

Boys’ soccer

Sept. 21

Hammonton 3, Cumberland 0 — Vincent Petulla scored twice as the Blue Devils evened their record at 2-2. Jared Yamada also found the back of the net for Hammonton.

Jose Contes and Tyler Oster both set up the goals, and keeper Devin Piro made two stops to register the shutout.

Sept. 23

Hammonton 6, Triton 1 — Vince Petulla recorded a hat trick for the victors. Zach Piro scored twice and picked up two assists, and Matt Huster added a goal. Yamada registered two assists and Oster set up one goal.

Devin Piro and Josh Donovan both saw time in net, making three saves each.

Sept. 25

Hammonton 5, GCIT 1 — Yamada and Zach Piro both scored and set up a goal in Hammonton’s win. Vincent Piccari and Petulla also scored for the Blue Devils. A fifth goal came on a GCIT own goal. Oster also picked up an assist.

Devin Piro and Josh Donovan each made one save in the net in the win.

Coming up — Hammonton is at Absegami on Oct. 2 before hosting Wildwood on Oct. 5.

Field hockey

Sept. 21

Cumberland 2, Hammonton 0 — Hammonton goalie Madison Mathes made 26 saves, but it wasn’t enough as the Colts handed the Blue Devils their first loss of the season.

Sept. 23

Hammonton 4, Triton 2 — Gabrielle Dimeglio scored and set up two more goals to lead Hammonton. Christina Carnesale, Makenzie Mortellite and Ashley Ranere each had a goal for the Blue Devils. Giana Mortellite and Ranere also added assists.

Sept. 25

Hammonton 7, GCIT 0 — Makenzie Mortellite tallied two goals, and Samantha Whittaker added a goal and two assists for the Blue Devils.

Gina Mortellite, Carnesale, Dimeglio and Lexie Francks each scored a goal for the Blue Devils while Alexis Flynn added two assists. Mathes made two saves to register the shutout.

Coming up — Hammonton is at Kingsway on Oct. 1 and at Gloucester on Oct. 5.

Boys’ cross country

Sept. 22

Hammonton 19, Clearview 42 — Hammonton’s Joe Dougherty finished the meet with the best time at 17 minutes, 20 seconds. Joe Brady (17:35), Shawn Dibona (18:06), Jordan Ciocco (18:06) and Phil Iuliucci (18:43) finished third through sixth, respectively.

Coming up — The Blue Devils will be competing in the Shore Coaches Invitational at Holmdel Park on Oct. 3.

Girls’ cross country

Sept. 22

Clearview 16, Hammonton 47 — Hammonton’s Diane Hoffman finished fifth with a time of 21 minutes, 57 seconds.

Coming up — Hammonton is at the Shore Coaches Invitational at Holmdel Park on Oct. 3.

Girls’ tennis

Sept. 21

Triton 3, Hammonton 2 — Hammonton No. 1 Kayla Lisek won 6-2, 6-2, and third singles player Julia Harrington won 6-0, 6-3.

Sept. 24

Hammonton 3, GCIT 2 — Hannah Cohen and Sarah Richardson at first doubles, and Kara Samuel at second singles bounced back from first set losses to win their respective matches, and helped clinch the win for the Blue Devils.

After losing the first set, 4-6, Cohen and Robinson won the next two sets, 6-2, 7-5. Samuel lost a tiebreaker in the opening set, but won the next two, 6-2, 6-3.

Harrington cruised to a win at No. 3 for the third victory.

Coming up — Hammonton hosts Williamstown on Oct. 2 and is at Clearview on Oct. 5.
