Girls’ soccer

Oct. 12

Kingsway 1, Hammonton 0 (2OT) – Nicole Mower found the back of the net in double overtime to lift the Dragons over the Blue Devils. Hammonton keeper McKenna Forry made five saves in the loss.

Oct. 14

Hammonton 1, Highland 0 – Madison Chiola scored the game’s only goal on an assist from Marissa Deltufo. Forry made seven saves to earn the shutout win.

Oct. 16

Hammonton 4, Glassboro 0 – Chiola had a hand in all four scores with a hat trick and an assist. Gabby Tancredi scored a goal and added an assist while Marissa Deltufo and Kylie Mocarski also set up goals for the Blue Devils.

Forry made six saves for the clean sheet.

Oct. 17

South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association Tournament

Washington Twp. 2, Hammonton 0 – Forry made nine saves to keep the Blue Devils close in the opening-round loss.

Coming up – The Blue Devils are at GCIT on Oct. 21 before hosting Kingsway on Oct. 27.

Boys’ soccer

Oct. 13

Delsea 3, Hammonton 2 – Vincent Petulla scored a pair of goals for Hammonton, but it wasn’t enough in a loss to Delsea. Zach Piro added an assist in the loss.

Oct. 14

Hammonton 3, Highland 2 – Three different players scored a goal as the Blue Devils ended a three-game losing streak.

Tyler Oster, Vincent Piccari and Jared Yamada all found the back of the net.

Oct. 16

Hammonton 2, Penns Grove 0 – Oster had a goal and an assist as the Blue Devils won their second consecutive game. Piccari also scored for Hammonton while keeper Devon Piro made four saves to earn the shutout win.

Oct. 17

Shawnee 1, Hammonton 0 – Hammonton keeper Devon Piro made nine saves in the one-goal loss.

Coming up – Hammonton hosts GCIT on Oct. 21 and is at Kingsway on Oct. 27.

Field hockey

Oct. 12

Hammonton 5, Williamstown 0 – Domenica Rehmann and Giana Mortellite both scored a pair of goals in Hammonton’s victory. Mortellite also added two assists.

Gabrielle Dimeglio scored a goal and Mackenzie Mortellite set up two for the victors. Goalie Victoria Noto needed to make just one save for the shutout.

Oct. 14

Hammonton 4, Highland 0 – Mackenzie Mathes scored twice and goalie Madison Mathes earned the shutout for Hammonton.

Mortellite scored and picked up an assist and Ashley Ranere netted a goal. Nikki Silipeno registered an assist for the Blue Devils.

Oct. 16

Hammonton 2, Woodstown 1 – Gabrielle Dimeglio and Mortellite each scored a goal as the Blue Devils won their third consecutive game. Madison Mathes made 17 saves and Ranere set up a goal.

Coming up – Hammonton is at GCIT on Oct. 21 and then hosts crosstown rival St. Joseph on Oct. 26.

Girls’ tennis

Oct. 13

Hammonton 5, Wildwood 0 – The Blue Devils dominated the Warriors, dropping just seven combined games.

Kayla Lisek, Kara Samuel and Julia Harrington all earned points in singles play for the Blue Devils. The doubles combos of Hannah Cohen-Sara Richardson and Julia Clancy-Nicole Wharton also won.

Oct. 14

GCIT 3, Hammonton 2 – Harrington continues to pick up points at third singles, winning 6-2, 6-4. Cohen and Richardson lost the first set of their doubles match, 4-6, before coming back to win the second set 6-2. The Hammonton duo then won a third set tiebreaker, 13-11.

Coming up – Hammonton is at Clearview on Oct. 23 for the regular season finale.
