40th Halloween parade to march through town
HAMMONTON – The Kiwanis Club of Hammonton will sponsor the 40th annual Halloween parade on October 28. The parade will step off at 7 p.m. The rain date is October 29.
The parade will originate at Orchard Street and Egg Harbor Road and then proceed up Bellevue Avenue to the Atlantic County Human Services building. Three marching bands are expected to participate in addition to several floats.
Robert J. Schenk Jr. is the parade chairman. As in the past, the parade will be judged and the Hammonton Kiwanis Club will provide cash prizes.
Anyone interested in entering a float or a group can contact Schenk at (609) 561-0525 during normal business hours. Individual participants will be registered and assembled at 6 p.m. at Orchard Street and North Egg Harbor Road. They do not need to register in advance.
