JACKSON - There's only one place where you can sample fine local wines, get a bit of holiday shopping done and ride thrilling roller coasters this holiday season.

That would be Six Flags Great Adventure, as the Ocean County thrill park hosts its Holiday Wine Fest Saturday, Nov. 14, and Sunday, Nov. 15, to kick off the Great Adventure's annual Holiday in the Park festivities.

Eight New Jersey wineries will offer samples, food trucks will be on hand, and area artisans will be selling their wares.

Participating wineries include Tomasello Winery (Hammonton); Wagonhouse Winery (Swedesboro); DiMatteo Vineyards (Hammonton); Plagido’s Winery (Hammonton); Villari Vineyards (Haddon Heights); Valenzano Winery (Shamong); Villa Milagro Vineyards (Phillipsburg) and Salem Oak Vineyards (Pedricktown).

The festival will take place in the Jolly Jamboree area of the park starting at 12:30 p.m. both days and tickets, $44.99, include general theme park admission and access to Holiday Wine Fest.

Wine Fest tickets are $24.99 for season pass and park membership holders.
