HAMMONTON - Toy Market, South Jersey’s largest independent toy store, donated more than $1,000 in toys, games and puzzles to the Christmas toy drive that was recently coordinated through Miss New Jersey, Lindsey Giannini.

The toys were hand-selected by Miss New Jersey and then personally delivered by her to the Children’s Specialized Hospitals of New Jersey, which is part of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the official national charitable platform of the Miss America Organization. All the toys went directly to children who will be hospitalized during this holiday season.

Toy Market, which became a full service specialty toy store in 2013 and is headquartered in Hammonton, has received widespread local, statewide and national attention recently because of its charitable initiatives, community outreach, special events and unique selection of inspirational toys.

“I am so deeply touched by the generosity of Kelly Donio, owner of Toy Market in Hammonton,” said Miss New Jersey Lindsey Giannini. “It’s beyond words to describe the excited looks on the faces of the hospitalized children when I delivered the countless toys to them donated by Toy Market. It’s so difficult for these children and their families to spend Christmas in the hospital as they fight serious illness and injury. I was so proud to be able to say that my hometown of Hammonton not only has an incredibly unique toy store such as Toy Market, but that they were the single largest contributor toward making my Miss New Jersey Christmas Toy Drive for the benefit of hospitalized children a huge success.”

Kelly Donio said she was honored to give back to the community.

“We were honored to be a part of helping Lindsey provide a little Christmas joy to all of the children who are spending the holidays in the hospital,” Donio said. “Giving back to those in need is really what this time of year is all about.”
