Wildwood Catholic 85, St. Joseph 76 – Marcellus Ross and Devin Martin both scored 18 points as the Wildcats’ comeback bid came up short.

St. Joseph’s Kevin Witasick added 12 points and Drew Hohman netted 10 in the loss.

Jan. 29

St. Joseph 62, Pleasantville 58 – Jordan Herrin scored 20 points as St. Joseph avenged an early-season loss to the Greyhounds.

Ross and Martin both added 15 points in the win.

Coming up – St. Joseph is home against Clayton on Feb. 5 and Millville on Feb. 6. St. Joseph is at Overbrook at Feb. 8.

Girls’ basketball

Jan. 27

Wildwood Catholic 83, St. Joseph 40 – Alyssa Gerdes was the only St. Joseph player to reach double digits with 10 points.

Carleigh Galasso added six points in the loss.

Jan. 30

St. Joseph 25, Woodstown 18 – The Wildcats sealed the low-scoring win with an 8-2 fourth quarter.

Gerdes scored eight points and Nicole Fox added six for St. Joseph. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for St. Joseph.

Coming up – St. Joseph is at Egg Harbor Township on Feb. 4 and Mainland on Feb. 6.

Seneca 65, St. Joseph 13 – Mike Mascioli (220) registered a pin for St. Joseph in the loss.

Keevon Berry (195) recorded a major decision and Evan Fallon (120) had a decision for the Wildcats, who have dropped six consecutive matches.

Coming up – St. Joseph is at Oakcrest on Feb. 3 and Ocean City on Feb. 6. The Wildcats host Haddon Heights on Feb. 8.
