HAMMONTON - Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 Hammonton Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship.

The Rotary Club of Hammonton Foundation awards at least one $2,000 scholarship each year to a college-bound student from the greater Hammonton area. To be eligible the applicant must be graduating high school in 2016 and plan on continuing their education at an accredited college, university or secondary school. Public and private school students may apply.

Application requires a 300-word essay, letter of recommendation, high school transcript and SAT scores. The winner is chosen based on community service, leadership qualities, and academics. Scholarship finalists will be called for a personal interview. All materials must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2016.

The Rotary Club of Hammonton Foundation is a tax-exempt organization that was formed by the Hammonton Rotary Club for the sole purpose of granting scholarships to local students for their college education. It is funded by the generosity of Hammonton area residents who attend and sponsor Hammonton Rotary Club’s events.
