The American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region has issued an appeal for blood donors. All blood types are needed, but especially O positive, O negative, B negative and A negative in order to meet patient demand and prevent a blood shortage.
The following blood drives are scheduled in South Jersey:
May 30: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Atlantic County Special Services School, 4805 Nawakwa Blvd., Mays Landing.
May 31: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., AtlantiCare Life Center, 2500 English Creek Ave., Egg Harbor Township.
June 12: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Shore Medical Center, 1 E. New York Ave., Somers Point.
June 13: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. Joseph's Knights of Columbus 10220, 606 Shore Road, Somers Point.
June 23: 2:30 to 7:30 p.m., Fox Out Patient Rehabilitation, 331 Tilton Road, Northfield.
Hours at the Atlantic County Community Donor Center, 850 N. Franklin Blvd., Pleasantville, are from noon to 7 p.m. Thursdays and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
