Arrest made in Sicklerville man’s stabbing death
ATLANTIC CITY – A 47-year-old Atlantic City man has been arrested for the July 12 killing of Justin Turay, 23, of Sicklerville, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
Timothy T. Knight, 47, of the 100 block of Tennessee Avenue, was charged on July 12 at the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office with aggravated manslaughter and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the July 12 stabbing death of Justin Turay. The State alleges that Knight stabbed Turay about the body multiple times with a knife, resulting in Turay’s death.
Knight was lodged early on the evening of July 12 in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $520,000 full cash bail — $500,000 for the aggravated manslaughter charge, and an additional $20,000 for the weapons offense — set by Superior Court Judge J. Christopher Gibson of the Atlantic and Cape May Vicinage.
Knight’s first court appearance was scheduled for Monday afternoon before Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Michael A. Donio.
The autopsy also was scheduled for later in the day on Monday.
Next-of-kin have been notified.
