CU Maurice River announces Purple Martin cruises
COMMERCIAL TWP. – Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River will offer cruises as part of the 14th annual Purple Martin Spectacular in August.
Dessert cruises on The Bodacious will board at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 14, 15, 21 and 22, rain or shine. Guests will enjoy a slow cruise, about three hours in length, on the Maurice River at sunset with local purple martin expert Allen Jackson. Naturalists from Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River and New Jersey Audubon also will be on board to identify points of natural and cultural interest.
A selection of desserts and soft drinks will be provided.
Cruises will depart at 6:30 p.m. from Longreach Marina, 2806 High St., Port Norris.
Reservations are required and tours are expected to sell out in advance. Tickets are $35.
