Man awaiting extradition in shooting death of mother of 2
LOWER TOWNSHIP – Authorities say a man is awaiting extradition in Philadelphia back to New Jersey to face charges in the shooting death of a woman whose two young children were missing from the home but were later found safe.
Police officers in Cape May County found 22-year-old Destiny Rollar with a gunshot wound to the head Wednesday in her Lower Township home. She was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Authorities said the woman’s two young daughters were missing from the home.
Authorities said Thursday they found her boyfriend in a Philadelphia hospital with a gunshot wound. The couple’s two young daughters were found safe at a relative’s house.
Twenty-five-year-old Charles Bland is charged with murder, aggravated assault, hindering apprehension and a weapons charge; it’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
