Atco man admits guilt in fatal crash
MOUNT HOLLY - An Atco man admitted Monday he was driving while impaired at the time of an accident that killed a passenger in his car.
John Randolph, 40, tested positive for marijuana, amphetamine and methamphetamine after his vehicle hit a tree in the Browns Mills section of Pemberton Township in September 2016.
Dennis "DJ" McCaffrey, 40, of Medford, a passenger in Randolph's 1993 BMW 325i, died in the crash just before 6 a.m. near Hanover Boulevard and Magnolia Street.
Randolph, of the 500 block of 5th Street, pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide. He also admitted guilt to a charge of receiving stolen property, stemming from an unrelated incident in May 2017.
He is to be sentenced Sept. 14 by Superior Court Judge Terrence R. Cook.
