Gloucester 1, Hammonton 0 – Hammonton out shot Gloucester, 13-5, but couldn’t get on the scoreboard.
Hammonton 4, Williamstown 0 – Brooke Beebe scored a pair of goals and Giana Mortellite added three assists as the Blue Devils got back in the win column. Gabrielle Dimeglio and Jianna Lamanteer also scored for Hammonton.
Clearview 3, Hammonton 0 – Hammonton’s Madison Mathes made 14 saves in the loss.
Kingsway 6, Hammonton 1 – Domenica Rehmann scored in the Blue Devils’ loss. Mathes made 16 saves.
Coming up – The Blue Devils are at Highland on Oct. 14 and at Woodstown on Oct. 16. Hammonton hosts Triton on Oct. 19.
Hammonton 8, Wildwood 2 – Vincent Piccari netted two goals to lead the Blue Devils to their sixth straight win.
Hammonton had seven different players find the back of the net, including Michael Alessandro, Teddy Davis, Zack Guerrier, Vincent Mocarski and Tyler Oster.
Hammonton 2, Williamstown 1 (OT) – Zach Piro scored the golden goal in overtime with an assist from Scott Kueny to lift Hammonton to its seventh straight victory.
Oster netted the game-tying goal early in the second half with an assist from Jared Yamada. Blue Devils keeper Devon Piro made 10 saves in the win.
Clearview 2, Hammonton 1 – Hammonton’s Logan Stafford scored the team’s only goal in the first half as Clearview snapped the Blue Devils’ winning streak.
Coming up – Hammonton hosts Highland on Oct. 14 and Penns Grove on Oct. 16 before hitting the road for games at Shawnee on Oct. 17 and Triton on Oct. 19.
Hammonton 9, Wildwood 0 – Gabby Tancredi registered a hat trick and Kyle Mocarski added two goals as the Blue Devils routed the Warriors for their fifth consecutive win. Madison Chiola, Brooke Finnerty, Victoria Hernandez and Delshia Pugh all scored a goal as well.
McKenna Forry made four saves to earn the shutout.
Williamstown 5, Hammonton 2 – Lacey Weissman scored both Hammonton tallies and Tancredi added an assist.
Clearview 4, Hammonton 1 – Elizabeth Thackston scored in the first half of the Blue Devils’ second straight loss.
Coming up – Hammonton travels to Highland on Oct. 14, Glassboro on Oct. 16 and Vineland on Oct. 17. The Blue Devils host Triton on Oct. 19.
Williamstown 4, Hammonton 1 – Hammonton’s Julia Harrington topped Nicole Andreachio, 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.
Hammonton 4, Highland 1 – Hammonton No. 1 Kayla Lisek didn’t drop a game in a straight-set victory. Kara Samuel won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Harrington won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles.
Hannah Cohen and Sara Robinson picked up a three-set victory at first doubles for the Blue Devils.
Triton 3, Hammonton 2 – Lisek and Harrington picked up points for Hammonton at first and third singles respectively. Lisek won 6-3, 7-6 (10-8) and Harrington won 6-3, 6-2.
Coming up – The Blue Devils are at GCIT on Oct. 14 before hosting Glassboro on Oct. 20.
Boys’ cross country
Hammonton 16, GCIT 47 – Hammonton had the first four runners cross the finish line with Joe Dougherty setting the pace with a time of 17 minutes, 15 seconds. James Brady (17:34), Phil Iuliucci (17:49) and Jordan Ciocco (17:51) followed behind Dougherty. Shawn Dibona (18:18) rounded out his team’s score in sixth-place.
South Jersey Open – Hammonton finished fourth overall with 185 points, 139 points behind champion Cherokee in the Group III race hosted by Delsea Regional.
Dougherty was eighth overall (16:14.55), Brady (16:52.5) took 26th, Ciocco (17:14.77) finished 42nd, Iuluicci (17:26.15) was 52nd and DiBona (17:28.9) was 57th.
Coming up – The Blue Devils will compete against the rest of the county on Oct. 22 at Hammonton Lake Park.
Girls’ cross country
Hammonton 15, GCIT 46 – The Blue Devils swept the top-5 spots to cruise to a dual-meet win. Diane Hoffman was first (23:09) with Isabella Massey taking second just two seconds behind. Marina Elias (23:17), Riley Patterson (23:23) and Alexis Braun (24:35) completed the sweep for Hammonton.
South Jersey Open – Hoffman had a team-best time of 20:34.12 to finish 30th overall. Meagan McFerren (21:44.56) was 64th overall as the Blue Devils finished 13th in the team standings.
Coming up – Hammonton will compete in the Atlantic County Championships at Hammonton Lake Park against on Oct. 22.
