Group III South Quarterfinals
Hammonton 2, Lacey Twp. 0 – Hammonton goalie Madison Mathes registered a shutout with 14 saves as the No. 4 Blue Devils topped the fifth-seeded Tigers. Mathes’ stellar performance made the difference, as Lacey outshot Hammonton 14-9.
Ashley Ranere scored a goal and added an assist on Domenica Rehmann’s marker.

Group III South Semifinals
Ocean City 9, Hammonton 0 – The Blue Devils had no answer for top-seeded Ocean City, which registered 25 shots in the win. Hammonton ended its season at 12-7-1.

Non-Public South Quarterfinals
St. Joseph 3. Red Bank Catholic 1 – Gianna Morganti scored a goal and added an assist as the top-seeded Wildcats bested the eighth-seeded Caseys. Carlina Sacco and Gab Scocca each added a goal in the win. Goalie Alexis Orcutt made eight saves.

Non-Public South Semifinals
St. Joseph 6, Holy Cross 1 – Morganti lit up the scoreboard with four goals as the Wildcats routed the fifth-seeded Crusaders to advance to the title game.
Orcutt allowed just one goal on 19 shots. Sacco scored a goal and set up another, and Scocca also scored a goal in the win. Gianna Perna and Hannah Stojanov each had an assist.
Coming up – The Wildcats were slated to meet No. 2 Bishop Eustace in the sectional final on Nov. 10. The game ended too late for publication.

Group III South First Round
Hammonton 5, Timber Creek 1 – Gabby Tancredi found the back of the net twice and added an assist as the No. 2 Blue Devils routed No. 15 Timber Creek. Breanna Oltman, Kylie Mocarski and Lacey DeMarco each scored a goal for the victors. Madison Chiola and Alyssa Torres added assists and goalie McKenna Forry registered 12 saves.

Group III South Quarterfinals
Seneca 2, Hammonton 1 – Tancredi netted a goal, but it wasn’t enough as No. 10 Seneca upset Hammonton. Lacey Weissman assisted on Tancredi’s goal. Forry made 11 saves in the loss. The Blue Devils finished the season 15-7.

Rutgers Prep 4, St. Joseph 1 – Nikki Cirigliano scored in the second half for the 14th-seeded Wildcats, but it wasn’t enough against No. 3 Rutgers Prep.

Group III South First round
Hammonton 5, Mainland 1 – Vincent Petulla and Logan Stafford both netted two goals as the No. 9 Blue Devils knocked off the eighth-seeded Mustangs on the road. Jared Yamada scored a goal and Vincent Mocarski added an assist for the winners. Goalie Devin Piro made seven saves in the victory.

Group III South Quarterfinals
Delsea 2, Hammonton 1 (OT) – Hammonton’s Matt Huster scored a second-half goal to force overtime where the Blue Devils’ upset bid fell short against top-seeded Delsea. Piro kept the Blue Devils (13-7) in the game, making 16 saves.

Non-Public B South First Round
St. Rose 6, St. Joseph 0 – The No. 13 Wildcats gave up four first-half goals in the loss to No. 4 St. Rose.

Nov. 7
Group III South meet – The Blue Devils finished fourth as a team, as top runner Joseph Dougherty was the second runner across the finish line with a time of 16 minutes, 12.68 seconds at Delsea. Dougherty was 16.82 seconds behind champion Joshua Clark of Highland.
Hammonton scored 102 points and was 70 points behind first-place Highland.
The Blue Devils’ Shawn DiBona had one of his best races of the year, finishing in 17th place at 16:59.41, just 1.70 seconds ahead of teammate James Brady, who finished 18th. Phillip Iuluicci (17:19.43) was 29th and Jordan Ciocco (17:38.44) was 40th.
Coming up – The Blue Devils will held to Holmdel to race in the Group III state meet on Nov. 14.
Girls’ cross country

Nov. 7
Group III South meet – The Blue Devils finished fourth overall in the team race with 133 points, 86 points behind champion Seneca.
Diane Hoffman led the way (20:52.04) with a 17th-place finish, followed by Isabella Massey (21:31.34) and Riley Patterson (21.37.11), who finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively. Meagan McFerren (21:59.51) took 33rd and Marina Elias (22:36.59) placed 40th.
Coming up – The Blue Devils will held to Holmdel to race in the Group III state meet on Nov. 14.

Non-Public First Round
Mount St. Mary 2, St. Joseph 0 – The 21st-seeded Wildcats fell to No. 12 Mount St. Mary 25-21, 25-16.
Mackenzie Fabrico had six kills, Samantha McGlynn registered 11 assists and 7 digs, Sarah Wible added three kills and 10 digs in the loss and Claire Swift recorded 10 digs.
